Description
One of the commonly used pain relievers and anti-inflammatories is flunixin meglumine. It is used to relieve pain and reduce inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders and colic in cattle. In horses and pigs, several medications are used for the treatment of inflammation, pain, and fever. Some of the common medications include flunixin meglumine, ketoprofen, and phenylbutazone. These medications can be used to treat mastitis, metritis, musculoskeletal disorders, as well as to relieve pain and inflammation in general.
- Equine: 1 ml for every 45kg of live weight, daily for 5 days. For the treatment of colic, apply every twelve (12) hours. Intravenously.
- Cattle: 2 ml per 45 kg of body weight, daily for 3 days. Intravenous and intramuscular route.
- Pigs: 2 ml for every 45 kg of body weight, daily for 3 days. Deep intramuscular route.
